Taking into account the description (or self-description) that the narrator first provides, think in the narrative structure of the tale, thus answer the next questions:
How is the narrator of the tale?
What is the self-picture that he gave to us?
Is the story going as you imagine?

2-he is not superstitious, he reused yo believe in something whithout the evidence of it. He is serious but the tender of heart. He is very sentimental and affectional
The story continúes because he changes his mind into a superstitious one
